comprised of interviews with three prominent young Czech sound artists, Jakub Rataj, Lucie Vitková, and Jiří Suchanek, (click names for stand alone documentary versions for each artist.) with work that is experimental, engaging and often provocative.

Voices of Theresa

Screened at the Wisconsin
Independent Film Festival 2019

Voices of Theresa (2018) consists
of interviews with community members about village history and personalstories. Theresa, Wisconsin, was established inthe late 1840s by the great Solomon Juneau who also founded the city of Milwaukee serving as its first mayor. The project is sponsored by the Theresa Historical Society.

All those interviewed forthis project have strong links toTheresa and tell unique storiesof an extraordinary American village, 170 years old, which has lived much larger than its numbers. It has long been a religiously tolerant community blessed by artists, inventors, risk-takers and optimists set in a land of windmills, drumlins, and the spirits of the Native Americansthey once lived with in harmony.

International Space Band
Workshops

Students of all ages are gathered, musicians and non-musicians alike,
for 2 to 3 workshops to learn the amazing lyde instruments. The idea
is to perform these beautiful
instruments in resonant sonic enivironments—malls, churches,
narrow streets, industrial buildings,
stadiums, museums, etc. The
International Space Band in Holland
uses a set of 13 lydes, called a gamelyde, from the original
collection.

Music Lessons

Composition lessons in contemporary music techniques as related to concert music, sound sculpture, experimental video, dance, etc. is available at an hourly rate with Dr. Dan Senn either in-person at Waterhouse Studio in Watertown, Wisconsin, or at Senn's Studio in Prague. Virtual lessons are also provided online using Skype, FaceTime and/or using simple email excanges. Sibelius, Final Cut Pro and Ableton Live are the preferred software platforms. Rates are by the hour and payable with credit card via PayPal at newsense@newsense-intermedium.com.

Piano, organ and recorder lessons are available at all levels in-person at Waterhouse Studio in Watertown, Wisconsin with Caroline Senn, a professional musician and artist with a degree in performance and composition from the Canberra School of Muisc in Australia. Hourly rates are payable by personal check or with credit card via PayPal at newsense@newsense-intermedium.com.
